International Outreach

  • Kroger Cards for Uganda – St. Andrew’s has contributed thousands of dollars to missions work in Uganda using Kroger Rebate Cards. Members buy cards at church for $10, then reload them with more money when shopping at Kroger. We earn a four percent rebate, which is used to support projects such as the Azur Medical Clinic and the Nalweyo Parish Church School in the Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese of Uganda.
  • Short Term Teams – St. Andrew’s sent a mission team to do relief work in Mississippi following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. We also sent a team to help in Haiti the summer after a 2010 earthquake shattered that nation. These and future efforts are undertaken in obedience to Christ’s command to love others as we love ourselves.
  • Missions Committee – The St. Andrew’s Missions Committee extends the love and truth of Jesus Christ through financial support for missions outreach at home and around the world. Some of their most ambitious efforts have involved funding for international projects. These have included helping to build the Diocesan Theological College in Hoima, Uganda; providing emergency assistance to our former Ugandan diocese after agricultural losses; and supporting our church youth doing relief work in Haiti.
  • Operation Christmas Child –St. Andrew’s participates each year in Operation Christmas Child, sending shoe boxes packed with small gifts, school supplies, hygiene supplies and other goodies to needy children around the world. The effort is sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization. This project is a blessing not only to the children who receive shoe boxes but also to the children in our church, who learn about the need and joy of serving others.
